The Sacrifice
From the Stars you came on silent foot
the Songs of Forever on your parted golden lips,
you let the everlasting Light escape your tongue
shine on the clay below which made the one you seek
Dance among the trees, Daughter of the shadowed Moon
kiss the buds and shoot them into almost painful bloom
bend your body made of roots and blood red sky
sing to the Shadows and call her simple name
Search beneath the long dead leaves
seek her running to the sharpest mountain tops
paint her face on the sky with the blood from thy foot
burn yourself in the sun and fall as dust in
the palm of her soft white hand
Let her drop you on the wet ground moulding you anew
may she shape your cheeks with the salt from her tears
release you Light and relinquish your Wings
stand with her forevermore on the ground by her home
Distant Stars cannot kiss the Earth,
unless they become bound by earth themselves
part your no longer golden lips and sing onto her breath
dance among the trees and bend for her your body made of Clay

If I were any older i could act my age, but I don't think that you'd believe me.

I can resist everything except temptation...

Moths are drawn to the flames just like shadows.Do shadows burn too?
